Architextiles: A Knot Building

This joint collaboration with Robert Hirschfield, who
previously worked with the firm of Daniel Libeskind, was to
combine the creative approach, materials and structures inherent
to textiles with the disciplines of architecture to explore
where the marriage of these two might lead. The result of our
work was Melting Pot: a knot building, a Clerkenwell-based
proposal for the home of a new guild, The Guild of Generalists.
Our project appeared in Babylon:don, the RCA’s architectural
annual and the international journal, AD in the ‘Architextiles’
issue in December 2006.
